Cookie Policy
How the Kzen PH Workspace Portal uses cookies, local storage, session technologies, and similar browser mechanisms.
1. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a website in a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and other browser mechanisms used to remember preferences, maintain authentication, support security, or provide functionality.
The Portal may use both cookies and browser storage. Not every browser-storage item is technically a "cookie", so this Policy uses "cookies and similar technologies" as a general term.
2. Technologies Used by the Portal
| Name / Mechanism | Type | Purpose | Typical Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| portal_session | Cookie | Maintains an authenticated Portal session and supports secure access to protected features. | Session / as configured by authentication |
| kzen_theme | LocalStorage | Remembers the user's selected light or dark interface theme. | Persistent until cleared or changed |
| theme | LocalStorage | May be used by compatible Portal pages to retain the selected interface theme. | Persistent until cleared or changed |
| kzen_cookie_consent | LocalStorage | Remembers cookie/privacy preference selections where a consent preference mechanism is presented. | Typically up to 1 year, subject to implementation |
Actual expiry and storage behavior may change when the Portal's authentication or interface implementation changes. The Portal does not use a cookie merely because a browser supports cookies; technologies are used only where needed for the relevant functionality.
3. Essential and Functional Technologies
Authentication and security technologies are essential to protected Portal functionality. They may be necessary to maintain a signed-in session, prevent unauthorized access, remember a security preference, or protect an account. Blocking these technologies may prevent login or other Portal functions from operating correctly.
Theme and similar interface preferences are functional rather than advertising technologies and are intended to improve usability.
4. Security and Session Information
Authentication cookies and server-side security records may be associated with session activity. These mechanisms help Kzen PH authenticate users, detect suspicious activity, protect accounts, maintain audit trails, and investigate security incidents. Session information may be processed together with technical information such as IP address, browser characteristics, timestamps, and request information as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Third-Party Resources
The Portal may load or communicate with third-party services used for authentication, security, fonts, content delivery, cloud infrastructure, or other functions. These providers may process technical information in connection with the request. Their processing is subject to their own policies and applicable agreements.
Current Portal functionality may include Google authentication resources and Google-hosted fonts, as well as externally hosted visual assets. The use of these resources does not mean Kzen PH authorizes third parties to use client records, job orders, billing records, or uploaded documents for advertising purposes.
6. Advertising and Behavioral Tracking
Kzen PH does not intentionally use the Portal's authentication or functional storage mechanisms to sell personal information or create advertising profiles. We do not intentionally deploy third-party advertising cookies, behavioral advertising pixels, or data-broker technologies for Portal client records.
If the Portal later introduces a non-essential analytics, advertising, or similar technology that requires consent under applicable law, the relevant notice and preference mechanism will be updated before or when that technology is deployed, as required.
7. Managing Cookies and Browser Storage
You can clear or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings. You can also delete stored site data for portal.kzen.ph. Because authentication technologies are essential, blocking them may prevent you from logging in or using protected Portal functions.
Clearing local storage may reset your theme or cookie-preference settings and may cause the Portal to ask for a preference again.
8. Relationship to the Privacy Policy
Information associated with cookies, sessions, browser storage, and security mechanisms may constitute personal information when it can reasonably be associated with an identifiable individual. Such information is therefore handled in accordance with the Kzen PH Privacy Policy, including its provisions on lawful processing, security, retention, disclosure, data-subject rights, and breach response.
9. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Policy when the Portal's technology, cookie usage, third-party integrations, or legal requirements change. The version and effective date at the top of this page identify the current published version.
